FanDraft Football 2020: Re-Inventing the Fantasy Football Draft Board
When FanDraft was first invented back in 2002, the intention of the product was to provide a more modern approach to the traditional “sticker” draft boards that many people were using at their in-person draft parties. The digital nature of FanDraft allowed for a more engaging and realistic experience that the static cardboard draft boards couldn’t provide, and the in-person draft was re-invented.
As the pandemic persists, it is creating constant change in our daily lives. This new environment will require many of us to re-invent how we approach our fantasy drafts. Uncertainty will linger, travel will continue to be limited, and owners will have varying levels of comfort with group meet-ups. The desire for continuity in maintaining an in-person draft experience will continue, but accommodating these obstacles will create a need for massive flexibility.
It is with these concepts in mind, massive flexibility and maintaining the essence of the in-person draft experience, that we approached the re-invention of the FanDraft product.
FanDraft Football 2020 - The ONLINE Fantasy Football Draft Board
FanDraft is now a fully online platform. The product continues to offer the same tools and features that help create the unparalleled draft experience that you are used to, but now fully operational from the web.
The biggest benefit is the hugely increased flexibility, which provides the ability to perform both in-person or completely online drafts. If you so desire, a hybrid could even be performed, whereby a league has some owners in-person while others draft remotely.
What’s New in FanDraft 2020
The dominant feature in FanDraft is “Commissioner Mode”, which allows the admin/commissioner to take control at any point in the draft. This provides flexibility for the league to have the entire league draft remotely or none at all (and your commissioner controls the draft manually—ideal for in-person drafts). While in Commish Mode, remote users still have the ability make their own picks. However, the Commissioner simply has the option to make picks on behalf of teams if they so choose.
For the first time ever, your league can perform a Tradition or Auction style draft completely online.
Any number of owners can be invited to remotely join and participate in your league draft for free. They will have the exact same visual experience as everyone else involved, being able to chat, draft, nominate, and bid as the draft proceeds.
You’ll also notice a brand new graphic interface, which is one of the most spectacular redesigns in the history of FanDraft.
More Features coming…
We have been hard at work to create this new platform, and we hope you love it. With that said, we’re going to continue to pump out new features and enhancements throughout the summer.
New Pricing
To create fewer obstacles of confusion, we have decided to streamline our pricing model. We have done away with upgrade discounts, but have also gotten rid of add-on surcharges that previously existed with any of our WEB add-on product.
The PRO account allows a user to create up to 5 different leagues if they so choose.
The one charge covers the entire league, meaning all invited owners join for free.
Create a New Account
All users will need to create a new “FanDraft Online account — the one exception being owners who participated in a WEB add-on draft remotely in the prior FanDraft desktop product, as they likely already created an account.
This is a completely FREE process, which can be performed here:

Return Policy / Dealing with Covid-19
Since many leagues may be uncertain if they will be holding a draft, we want to accommodate those wanting to purchase early without risk. If you purchase a FanDraft 2020 PRO account before August 1st, 2020, and do not use the FanDraft platform for your draft, you may be eligible for a credit for the 2021 FanDraft PRO product.
