Online Fantasy Football Auction Drafts with FanDraft

In-Person Auction drafts can be one of the most fun and fair styles to perform your league’s draft. However, because it’s usually impossible to get your whole league together in one room, it can also be difficult to organize. The all-new ONLINE version of FanDraft helps make this much easier though, as it’s now possible to do ANY of the following with our product:

  • Perform an in-person auction draft.

  • Perform a hybrid, where some owners are in-person and others are drafting remotely.

  • Perform a fully online auction draft.

In the "Auction Style" draft, teams take turns nominating players in an order based on the league's Nomination Order settings. League's can any number of owners logged in and bidding remotely. Alternatively, Commissioners can turn on the “Commish Mode” option and control the entire draft, making nominations, bids, and processing on behalf of any or all of the owners.

The Auction Process

  1. The owner whose turn it is to nominate selects a player, and clicks the "Nominate Player" button.

2. Users then click on the BID button (or enter in a custom amount and BID), and declare an amount that outbids the current auction leader.

FanDraft Auction: Step 2 - Bid

3. The clock continues running down while bidding takes place. Once the clock hits 10 seconds, any bid made in this period resets the clock to 10 seconds. This process continues until the clock hits zero, at which point the highest bidder is awarded the player.

4. If the Admin user is in "Commissioner Mode" he/she will have total control to pause/reset/edit the clock, nominate players on behalf of users, bid on behalf of users, and process draft picks at any time.

FanDraft Auction: Commish Mode

This process continues until all of the owners have filled out their rosters, and then the draft is complete.

The FanDraft Auction Draft can take place fully online, in-person, or a hybrid of having owners both in-person or remote, which allows for massive flexibility to meet your league’s auction draft needs.
