Toilet Bowl Punishment Ideas
A couple of weeks back I wrote an article about “5 Easy Ideas to Step-Up Your Draft”, which included the idea of having the prior year Toilet Bowl loser wear a decorated toilet seat around their head for the duration of the draft.
Not soon after that article, I noticed a Reddit post on /FFCommish about “Last place punishment” ideas. There were some great recommendations on there, and it sparked the idea of researching and compiling a list of some “easy to implement punishment ideas”.
There are a lot of rough punishments out there, most of which are quite cringe-worthy and likely to be refused by the loser. The last thing you want is to have owners quit over such a harsh consequence. So this list really focuses on the tamer / reasonable ones, that even the most recreational fantasy leagues can easily adopt:
1. Have the loser get a department store portrait
This has a LOT of potential, especially when the league all has a say in what the loser wears. It’d make for some humorous imagery to put on your website, text message strings, and…maybe even make a t-shirt out of it. Kind of great.
2. Super Bowl Winner Names the Toilet Bowl Loser’s Team
This is an easy-to-implement punishment, which is also an added prize for the league champ.
3. Diaper / Toilet Bowl Seat
Forcing the loser to don a diaper during the draft is a twist on wearing a Toilet Bowl seat. It’s maybe even more humiliating, so it could test the tolerance of your owners. But if they’re up for it, it’s a fairly entertaining idea.
4. Host the Next Year’s Draft
This wouldn’t work for all leagues, as there are some logistic issues for people without a decent home space, or who live in poor proximity. However, In the right league though, it’s a solid punishment.
5. Beer Caddy
Make the loser procure and/or serve the league beers during your draft.
I hate getting up to refill my beer when I’m on the clock. Why not have the Toilet Bowl loser do it? Ok, maybe having him serve the entire league could become a bit much, but there’s room for modification here.
6. Loser’s T-Shirt
Get a Toilet Bowl Champ t-shirt, and force them to wear it at your draft.
